Enjoy premium teeth cleaning at Smile Solutions, offering personalised care for a sparkling smile.

This was the best experience I ever had at a dentist. The reason for my visit was a broken tooth which already had an inlay. My expectations were exceeded as it was all fixed perfectly in ONE single session. The staff was really friendly and professional.

Thank you Dr. Rita Nel and your team for the great experience and quality service I received.
I am pleased with your professional and personable service.
Your associate dentist is the first dentist who paused to ask me if anything hurt and it was the first time I had totally pain-free dentistry.

Professional cleaning

  • Good oral health starts with good oral hygiene.
  • Plaque is a soft white substance that develops daily between all the teeth, the tongue and on the gums. Once it calcifies in the presence of saliva, is it known as tartar, which is a hard substance that has to be removed professionally.
  • Dental plaque is a film of bacteria and fungi. If not removed, it causes gum disease (bleeding gums) and decay.
  • Gum disease has been linked to cardiovascular and respiratory disease and diabetes.
  • The dentist will remove the plaque and tartar using ultrasonic and hand instruments.
  • The process will then be finished by polishing with a special prophylactic paste or the air polisher (a very gentle way to remove stains by using small salt particles (Wood Pecker AP-L).
  • Lastly, fluoride mouth wash will be applied to restore the tooth’s protective surface.
  • You will recieve oral hygiene instructions.
  • Flossing techniques will also be demonstrated.
  • We recommend three-monthly oral hygiene appointments when the doctors will monitor your use of toothbrush and flossing (and mini check-up.

The Benefits of Regular Cleanings

  • Maintains your oral hygiene, preventing the build-up of tartar.
  • Provides a smooth tooth surface, making it harder for bacteria to cling.
  • Reduces the risk of gum disease and tooth decay.
  • Keeps your smile bright and healthy.
